How to Grant Access

3P sellers: How to grant only Create 3D Models scanning access

  1. Sign in to Seller Central using the primary account.
  2. Navigate to the top right corner, hover over the gear icon (settings), and choose “User Permissions.”
  3. Find the user you wish to provide access to, and click on “Manage Global Permissions” for that specific user.

    1. Find the “Create 3D Models” permission under the “Growth” section and set it to “View & Edit.”
    2. Once done, click “Save Changes” at the bottom of the page.

1P Vendors: Who Can Access Mobile 3D Scanning?

  1. Any user who signs into the Amazon Vendor app using the primary account.
  2. Any user assigned the “Contributor” role with permissions for “Product Management,” allowing them to add, edit, and remove products within the vendor catalog.

  1. In the “Role and Permissions” section, if the user is an Admin, they will already have access.
  2. If the user is a Contributor, find the “Product Management” permissions and toggle the setting to the right.
  3. Click “Save” at the top of the page to confirm the changes.

What Products Can Be Scanned?

A product is eligible for scanning if it meets the following criteria:

  • It offers a 3D Customer Experience (such as View-in-3D, View-In-Your-Room, or AR Virtual Try-On).
  • The Selling Partner is registered for the product’s brand in Amazon’s Brand Registry.
  • Amazon does not already have an existing 3D model for the product.
  • The product has not been previously scanned and rejected by another Selling Partner.

While Amazon will attempt to create a 3D model from any completed scan, not all products can be successfully modeled.

Products with the following characteristics are less likely to be successfully modeled:
